Metabolomics is a promising approach within the omics sciences used to understand biological organisms. This approach is a powerful bioanalytical strategy and a great source of large-scale phenotyping data. Through untargeted and targeted analyses, metabolites are determined in biological samples by sophisticated analytical techniques. Biological changes are found after data processing with advanced bioinformatics tools and statistical analysis.
